Who it's for

If you want to sing like an artist, this is for you.

No experience needed. We group people of similar levels so everyone moves forward at their own pace.

  • You sing in the shower, in the car or at karaoke, and you want to take it seriously.
  • You post covers online or go to open mics, and you know something is missing.
  • You write songs, or want to, and you need a voice that can carry them.
  • You already perform, but you tire quickly, run out of top notes or let nerves get the better of you.
  • You live in Barcelona and feel more at home in English or French: we have groups for you.

What makes us different

Not just another singing class.

You work on your own song.

No endless exercises for their own sake: every term you choose a song and make it yours.

One clear goal every term.

In the first class we listen, find what's holding you back and set a specific goal together. At the end, you hear the difference in your before-and-after recording.

You sing on a real stage.

Every term ends with a live showcase, with in-ear monitors, a wireless mic and an audience.

In your language.

Groups in English, Spanish and French, with the same teachers and the same method.

Classical and modern, together.

The foundations of bel canto, the control of Estill Voice Training and the craft of people who are on stage every season.

The method

Three pillars in every class.

  1. Foundation

What bel canto gives us: breath, a clean vocal line, resonance and vowels that ring.

  2. Control

Understanding how your voice works from the inside, informed by Estill Voice Training: onset, twang, belt and safe distortion, without strain.

  3. Stage

Singing like an artist: style, mic technique, in-ears, movement and how to tell a song to an audience.

What a class looks like

90 minutes, 6 people, all the attention you need.

Nervous about singing in front of others? That's normal. It's a safe space: everyone is here to learn and to cheer each other on. We're a team that improves together, and that's exactly what gets you ready for the stage.

0–10
Warm-up. Body, breath and voice. The same routine every week, so it becomes a habit.
10–30
Technique. A new skill every week, applied to your song.
30–90
Your turn. A turn devoted entirely to you: your song, feedback and what to work on next. Meanwhile, the others learn by listening.

Your term, week by week

10 weeks, one song, one goal.

  1. Week 1 · Diagnosis.

Bring the song you sing best today. We listen to your voice, measure your range, estimate your voice type and set your goal together. We record it.

  2. Weeks 2–4 · Foundation and choice.

We work on the fundamentals. Each week you try one of your 3 candidate songs, and in week 4 you choose the one you'll keep.

  3. Weeks 5–7 · Control and style.

Registers, twang, belt and the style of your song.

  4. Weeks 8–9 · Stage.

Mic, in-ears, movement and nerves, using our live rig.

  5. Week 10 · Dress rehearsal.

A full run-through and a final recording to compare with week 1.

  6. Showcase.

Your song, live, in front of an audience.

The Artist Year

One year, three terms, a new artist.

Each term builds on the last. Do all three and you'll hear the real change.

  1. Term 1

    Instrument

Know and free your voice: breath, steady pitch and goodbye to strain.

  2. Term 2

    Style

Find your sound: registers, belt, style choices and your first harmonies.

  3. Term 3

    Artist

Own the stage: artist identity, an original song or a reinvented cover, and the year-end concert.

Artist Year benefits: €265 per term instead of €280, your place and time slot guaranteed all year, and two songs at the year-end concert.

I want the Artist Year

Our aim is that one day you won't need us: that you can hear yourself, choose your repertoire and work on your own.

The showcase

Every term ends on a stage.

We close every term with a showcase at a Barcelona venue. You sing your song with the same live rig professional artists use: in-ears, wireless mic and professional sound. Bring whoever you like. Songs in every language, on the same night. The third term ends with the year-end concert, bigger and professionally filmed.

About us

Lui and Eugenio, from Velvet Riot.

We're an electropop duo who write, produce and sing our own music, and we come from classical training. We've studied bel canto, trained in Estill Voice Training and perform on stage every season. FAQ

I've never sung before. Can I join?

Yes. We group people of similar levels and in the first class we'll see together where you're starting from.

Do I need to know music or read sheet music?

No. If you're interested, we'll offer theory and sight-reading modules for singers later on.

Which song should I bring?

To the first class, the one you sing best today. After that you'll think of 3 candidates and we'll choose one together in week 4.

What language are the classes in?

Each group is taught in one language: English, Spanish or French. You choose when you sign up. You can sing in any language you like, whatever your group's language.

Do I need to speak Spanish?

No. Our English and French groups are taught entirely in those languages.

What styles do you work on?

Pop, electropop, rock, soul, musical theatre, songs in any language... any modern style. Classical technique is the foundation, not the repertoire.

What if I miss a class?

You can make it up in another group, depending on availability. We'll also send you a summary of the technique we worked on. Missed classes aren't refunded.

Can I get my deposit back?

The deposit confirms your commitment and isn't refundable, unless we cancel the group. A group runs with a minimum of 4 people.

Do I have to sing at the showcase?

We encourage it, because it's where you learn the most. If you don't feel ready, we'll talk about it.

Are there classes for under-18s?

For now, Sala Polaris is for adults (18+). [Confirm]

How do I pay?

By card or Bizum on the website. [Confirm payment methods]
